Olivia has followed Webster, the witness in Harley's murder trial, to a parking garage. There, she uses her phone to take a picture of him while muttering, "I'm sorry Harley, but it's every man for him self." She is surprised when someone touches her but relaxes when she discovers it's Bill, who has been looking for her. After lying about what she is doing there alone, Olivia asks her husband if he thinks it is okay to do something to save yourself even it means someone else will be hurt. Bill tells her in no uncertain terms it is wrong and guesses Alan has her doing some dirty business deals. He offers to take her home, but she tells him she needs to be alone.

At Company, Alan arrives as Buzz, Harley and Zack are wishing upon stars. Buzz convinces Alan to go in inside with him and Zack for hot chocolate before Alan says something to upset the boy. Once inside, Buzz tells Alan that between the two of them as the 'Grand Old Men' of the families they could put their differences to rest and mend the rift between the Coopers and Spauldings. Alan said he would be interested in doing so but only after a complete surrender by the entire Cooper family. As he is leaving, he glares at Harley, who is outside talking to Olivia. Once he is gone, Olivia tells Harley that of all the people to be hurt by Phillip's murder, she is sorry it had to be her. Harley confides she made a deal with Alan to protect Zack in case she went to jail. Olivia comments what a shame it is that protecting their Spaulding children has to be their number one priority as mothers. Harley tells her there is nothing else to do save whatever it takes to keep their children safe. Olivia hugs Harley before calling Alan. She tells him she has a photo he can use against Harley under the condition he leave her and Emma alone forever.

In the parking garage, Bill approaches as Alan discovers he has a flat tire. Alan accuses him of being responsible for the damage, but Bill laughs it off and tells him to call his driver to rescue him. Alan says he gave the driver the night off, and scoffs at Bill's suggestion he change the tire himself. Bill agrees to help out and while he is turning the jack, Alan tells him Olivia has sold him half interest in the Lewis Construction building. Bill doesn't believe him and replies she would never do that without telling him. Alan reminds Bill that Olivia will do anything to protect Emma. Bill re-flattens the tire.

At J Farley's, Cassie arrives as the manager announces a band. Thinking they are going to be loud and bad she starts to leave but realizes Jeffrey is the lead singer. When the DA finishes his song, Cassie approaches him at the bar to congratulate him for doing a good job. The conversation turns to Edmund's misdeeds and Jeffrey tells her she is not wrong for wanting to leave her husband. Cassie wants to know why he always pushed her to Edmund if this is how he feels. She is shocked and confused when he admits he was pushing her away from him - not toward Edmund. He refuses to elaborate when Cassie asks him to explain, but tells her instead she is the one who chose to make a life with Edmund and now she has to live with those consequences.

Edmund rushes to the clinic after receiving a call that his wife is there and ready to proceed with the implant. He is ecstatic as he enters the room expecting to find a forgiving Cassie. Instead, Dinah is on the hospital bed waiting for him. Edmund is deflated and demands to know what she doing there. Dinah says Cassie's regular doctor is away and she is willing to take her place. Edmund is disgusted and says she is sicker than he thought. Dinah begs him to let her carry the child as a gift to him and Cassie. She pleads with him and says her only goal is redemption, something he can understand. Edmund agrees the only chance he ever had at a decent life was when Cassie fell in love with him. Dinah continues by saying once she is pregnant she will no longer be unlovable. She will become a wonderful person with a big wonderful tummy that everyone will want to touch to feel his child kicking within her! Edmund is moved, but tells her Cassie is his salvation and he has to have faith their love will bring her back to him. He tells her no, he will not allow her to drag him down this twisted path with her. Edmund leaves the room to find the doctor to tell her his wife is NOT there and they will not be going through with the procedure. He is interrupted when his phone rings. Cassie has called to tell him she is taking the boys and leaving. Edmund tries to reason with her but gets nowhere. He hears Jeffrey's voice in the background before Cassie hangs up. As Dinah prepares to leave, Edmund tells the doctor he and his 'wife' are ready to make a baby.

Josh and Sandy are working late. They wonder why they haven't heard from Reva. Jonathan walks into Josh's office and informs him that Reva is dancing the night away with another man and is having a great time. Jonathan clearly enjoys delivering this news! Josh is not fazed by this, however. He knows his wife well and he refuses to be sucked into Jonathan's taunts. It's just as well -- because moments later a very drunk Reva enters the room. She is in too good a mood for Josh, who does not want to talk about where she has been. Reva won't let well enough alone, however, and as she gets another drink for herself, Josh tells her that she is pulling away from the family -- everyone, that is, but Jonathan. They fight over why Reva insisted that Cassie should know that Edmund set the fire which almost called RJ and Jeffrey. Reva has a breakthrough and realizes that her anger and guilt about giving up Jonathan has manifested itself into anger against Edmund. He was, after all, the reason she was forced to give her son away. But the discovery scares her. "I thought I was doing the right thing -- now I don't know."

Tammy set out to look for Jonathan and found him in the Lewis office building's parking garage. They bicker a little, but Jonathan turns furious when he overhears a father abusing his small son. Jonathan defends the boy and becomes confrontational and physical with the boy's father. A security guard breaks up the fight. The father promises not to hurt the child and they leave. Tammy can see that Jonathan is upset. It even looks like he may cry! They share a close moment and hug just in time for Sandy to turn the corner and see them together. Sandy apologizes to Tammy about having missed the movie and Tammy reluctantly leaves with Sandy. Jonathan begins to cry.

The doctor tells Edmund and Dinah that everything looks good and that Dinah may well be pregnant. Edmund, however, begins to have second thoughts. He says this decision may have been the biggest mistake of his life. He thinks that Cassie will never forgive him for giving Dinah their embryos. Dinah offers to "get lost" so that Edmund and Cassie can get back together. Edmund is not sure what to do. He tells Dinah to go home and they would talk the next day. However, after a few drinks in a bar, Edmund goes to see Dinah. She is asleep in her bed -- he tenderly tucks her in.

In the hallway outside the court room, Alan confirms that Jeffrey has the new information which may help convict Harley by discrediting her witness. Jeffrey attempts to question Olivia regarding the new evidence. However, she denies any knowledge and moves away only to be confronted by Bill. Olivia claims she only did it to protect Emma, only to discover Bill knows she sold the Lewis Construction Building, not that she provided Alan with new evidence.

Inside the court room, Gus reassures Harley and calls Rick to the stand. Admitting he attacked Phillip in the days before the murder, Rick denies he killed Phillip and is released from the stand to be replaced by Beth. When confronted with a credit card receipt for a Paris hotel room, Beth admits she was planning to run away with Phillip and the children whom he had kidnapped. After being released from the stand, Beth follows Rick out to the hallway where she apologizes. Rick accuses her of stealing his son, something he would never do to her. As Olivia is called to testify, Bill tells her this is her chance to prove her loyalty to him and not Alan. Admitting she said she hoped Phillip would die and is glad he is dead, Olivia begins to cry as she explains that Harley, Beth, Rick and she had been terrorized by Phillip when he kidnapped their children. She had feared for Emma's safety while in his care. Returning to her seat, Olivia asks Bill if the tears helped sway the jury. Finally, Jack Webster is called to the stand where he testifies he saw Phillip alive after Ruth Karloff left Company. Following this testimony, Jeffrey has no questions for him and instead calls Gus to the stand.

At Company with Alexandra, Lizzie insists she only pretended to like Coop. Alexandra attempts to convince Lizzie not to let Alan tell her who to care about. Lizzie announces that Alexandra is right, stating she can make Coop over into a man of whom her grandfather will approve. Lizzie then goes over to Coop and introduces him to Sam Rawlins, a restaurant consultant. Lizzie explains that Coop has worked in some of the best restaurants in London, and goes on about how important his opinion is. Stepping away from Sam, Coop accuses Lizzie of lying about him and demands to know what her motives are. Going back to Sam, Lizzie questions him about closing the boarding house and expanding Company upstairs.

Reva meets with Edmund and tells him he is the reason Cassie has run away. Edmund attempts to reassure her by saying he only wants to know that she is safe. He states that in a few days she may be willing to listen to him.

Edmund leaves to see Dinah. He walks into her hotel room to find Jonathan attempting to kiss her and Dinah pushing him away. Edmund grabs Jonathan and threatens him should he do anything to harm his family. After Jonathan leaves the room, Edmund presents Dinah with a contract and offers to pay her for carrying the baby. Dinah turns down the money, but agrees to sign the contract, insisting she is trying to do the right thing.

In the lobby Jonathan runs into Reva, who has been trying to reach him. After going shopping together, Jonathan questions the things Reva bought, such as a toaster. Reva tells Jonathan she bought these items to help him get set up in his own place as he can no longer stay with her and Joshua. Reva confides she does not like the person she is around him, and while she loves him she needs time for her family and friends. As Reva leaves, Jonathan tears up pictures of the two of them together and throws them on the ground. Beginning to cry, he picks the pieces up and gets in the car to leave.
